Penalty

Did Not Finish

A PB that legally cannot be discussed in court.

  • Schrödinger’s solve: it happened, but the sheet says it didn’t.

Actually, though

An invalid solve. You get one if the cube is not solved when you stop the timer, if you go over the round’s time limit, or if you break a regulation like touching the cube after inspection ends.

In an average a DNF counts as worse than any finished time, so it always lands in the slowest slot. One DNF in an Ao5 is survivable because the worst solve gets dropped. Two is not: the whole average becomes a DNF.
