PLL ALGORITHMS

Every PLL algorithm, with how to spot the case

Permutation of the Last Layer, the final step of CFOP. Any sheet can hand you 21 algorithms; the hard part is telling the cases apart in the half-second you have. Each one here comes with the cues you actually read on the cube.

Edges Only

Corners already solved, so every face shows headlights. The easiest group to spot.

Ua Perm

R U R' U R' U' R2 U' R' U R' U R

All four corners solved, three edges cycling counter-clockwise.

Ub Perm

R' U R' U' R3 U' R' U R U R2

All four corners solved, three edges cycling clockwise.

H Perm

M2 U M2 U2 M2 U M2

All corners solved and both pairs of opposite edges swapped.

Z Perm

M' U M2' U M2' U M' U2 M2'

All corners solved, adjacent pairs of edges swapped.

Corners Only

All four edges solved; only the corners are out of place.

Aa Perm

x R' U R' D2 R U' R' D2 R2

All four edges solved, three corners cycling.

Ab Perm

x R2' D2 R U R' D2 R U' R

All four edges solved, three corners cycling the other way from Aa.

E Perm

x' R U' R' D R U R' D' R U R' D R U' R' D'

All four edges solved, corners swapped across both diagonals.

Adjacent Corner Swap

One pair of neighbouring corners swaps. Find the single set of headlights.

T Perm

R U R' U' R' F R2 U' R' U' R U R' F'

One set of headlights and no solved bar, with a matching pair on each face beside them.

Ja Perm

x R2' F R F' R U2' r' U r U2

One solved 1x3 bar, and no headlights anywhere else.

Jb Perm

R U R' F' R U R' U' R' F R2 U' R'

One solved 1x3 bar, and no headlights anywhere else.

F Perm

R' U' F' R U R' U' R' F R2 U' R' U' R U R' U R

One solved 1x3 bar, and nothing else matching.

Ra Perm

R U' R' U' R U R D R' U' R D' R' U2 R'

Headlights with a two-sticker block, mirrored against Rb.

Rb Perm

R' U2' R U2' R' F R U R' U' R' F' R2

Headlights with a two-sticker block on the opposite side from Ra.

Diagonal Corner Swap

Corners swap across the diagonal, so no face has headlights.

Y Perm

F R U' R' U' R U R' F' R U R' U' R' F R F'

No headlights, two solved edges, and the corner between them still wrong.

V Perm

R' U R' U' R D' R' D R' U D' R2 U' R2' D R2

No headlights, with two solved edges.

Na Perm

R U R' U R U R' F' R U R' U' R' F R2 U' R' U2 R U' R'

Two opposite bars of two, with a diagonal corner swap.

Nb Perm

R' U R U' R' F' U' F R U R' U' R U' f R f'

Two opposite bars of two, leaning the other way from Na.

G Perms

The four hardest to tell apart: one set of headlights plus a 3-cycle.

Ga Perm

R2 U R' U R' U' R U' R2 U' D R' U R D'

One set of headlights, with a corner and edge 3-cycle running together.

Gb Perm

D R' U' R U D' R2 U R' U R U' R U' R2

Headlights with the 3-cycle running opposite to Ga.

Gc Perm

D R2' U' R U' R U R' U R2 U D' R U' R'

Headlights, mirroring Ga across the cube.

Gd Perm

R U R' U' D R2 U' R U' R' U R' U R2 D'

Headlights, mirroring Gb across the cube.
