Color neutrality

Method

The fastest way to lose five seconds in inspection.

Actually, though

Being able to start your solve from any colour cross, choosing whichever is easiest for that particular scramble, instead of always using the same one.

Worth roughly a second once it is fluent, but it costs a painful re-learning period first. Many cubers settle for dual colour neutrality — two options instead of six — for most of the benefit at a fraction of the cost.

In the wild

mei’m going to become fully colour neutral
me*inspection begins*
me*considers six equally bad crosses*
me*picks white*
