Color neutrality

Method

The fastest way to lose five seconds in inspection.

Add a take ▾

Actually, though

Being able to start your solve from any colour cross, choosing whichever is easiest for that particular scramble, instead of always using the same one.

Worth roughly a second once it is fluent, but it costs a painful re-learning period first. Many cubers settle for dual colour neutrality, two options instead of six, for most of the benefit at a fraction of the cost.

In the wild

mei’m going to become fully colour neutral
me*inspection begins*
me*considers six equally bad crosses*
me*picks white*
